I was especially drawn to the moonlit scene in "Light," where the forest illuminates in response to the moon's alignment, its particularly enchanting. it all felt both ancient and fresh, like a new myth being told in a new age. It felt that way from beginning to end.
I'm also just discovering that the art in the image is yours as well?! Wow, that makes this story even better, haha. This one was selected for a shout-out on today's podcast episode, and I'm so excited to talk about the amazing worldbuilding here!
Thank you so much!!! I so appreciate you!! Yea my past life. Like we talked about. I try to use my art in the stories. Try to keep it out there. Kaaos asked me to do an illustration for one of their stories which is so cool! I’m going to try to find time for that.
I wanted to ask about TrackBear. Is that a requirement for the word count challenge?
I don’t know if I have the bandwidth right now to learn something new
Yes, I remember talking about your paintings now that you mention it! That’s so cool that you did a piece for one of Kaaos’ stories. I’ll have to commission one as well when you have the time.
TrackBear is not required for the challenge, it’s entirely optional! It’s just a way for folks to keep track of their word count, but it won’t be needed to prove that you hit your goal at the end of the challenge, so it’s all good.
I didn’t realize this was your art as well. I love the style you’ve created with just that alone. Paired with your imagery it still inspires that bigger than life feel even more.
Wow! Rachel, you have an amazing talent for writing fiction. Your ability to describe a magical world for us to explore and imagine is just incredible. I loved reading this. Thank. You for sharing it!

Cool on TrackBear. It looks awesome but I’m so brain fried this week. Iearnjng a new software feels really overwhelming.
For Kaaos. Yea. I haven’t done the artwork yet. I have to find some time. But I have a sketch and hoping to do it really soon. Maybe even this weekend
